Platform: Instagram

Instagram influencer marketingwith creators whose community follows them.

On Instagram, creators recommend products in Reels, Stories and posts that their followers watch every day anyway. We show you which format suits your goal, what it costs on the market and which creators from our network are a good fit.

What Instagram influencer marketing achieves

In Instagram influencer marketing, a brand pays creators to present a product or service in their own content. The recommendation reaches people who deliberately follow the creator and trust their judgement. That sets it apart from an ad that a user sees between unrelated content.

Instagram is particularly suited to products that can be shown: cosmetics, fashion, food, tech, games and leisure offers. Because the algorithm also shows Reels to people outside the creator's followers, a single post can address both the creator's existing community and new audiences.

The formats on Instagram

Each format does a different job. In many campaigns we combine two of them, for example a Reel for reach and a Story series with a link.

Reel

A short vertical video of up to a few minutes that Instagram also shows to users who do not follow the creator. Suited to reach beyond the followers and to products that should be shown in action.

Story

An image or video that is visible for 24 hours and is usually booked as a series of three. With the link sticker, a Story leads straight to your shop, making it well suited to discount codes and promotions.

Feed post

A single image on the creator's profile that stays visible permanently. Suited to products that rely on strong visuals, such as fashion or cosmetics.

Carousel

Up to twenty images or videos in one post that users swipe through. Good for before-and-after comparisons, step-by-step instructions and product ranges.

Collab post

A post that appears on both the creator's profile and your brand's profile at the same time. Likes and comments are combined, and your brand profile gains visibility with the creator's community.

What drives the price of an Instagram post

Two creators with the same number of followers can charge very different fees. These factors decide it.

  • reach and actual views of recent posts, not just the follower count
  • engagement: how many people comment, save and share
  • format and effort: a produced Reel costs more than a spontaneous Story
  • usage rights, if you want to use the content on your own channels or as an ad
  • exclusivity, if the creator may not promote competitors for a period
  • rush dates with short lead times

Partnership Ads: running creator posts as ads

With Partnership Ads, you use Meta Ads Manager to run ads that appear under the name of the creator and your brand. The creator grants you permission for this in the app. The ad looks like a post by the creator but can be targeted by age, region and interests and controlled through budget.

To use content as an ad, you need the appropriate usage rights. According to an analysis by Influee from March 2026, surcharges of 20 to 50% on the fee are standard on the market. We set out duration, channels and budget range in the contract with the creator, so that no questions arise later.

Our curated network consists mainly of nano and micro creators. On Instagram, these focus areas are represented.

Disclosure is part of it

Paid posts must be clearly labelled at the start as “Werbung” (advertisement) or “Anzeige” (ad). Instagram's “Paid partnership” label supplements this disclosure. We check every post for this before it is published.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does an Instagram Reel with a micro influencer cost?

According to an analysis by Business Punk from April 2026, a Reel from creators with 10,000 to 50,000 followers in Germany costs €400 to €2,000. In January 2026, Kolsquare gave €600 to €800 per Reel for micro influencers. Usage rights for ads are usually added as a surcharge.

Which Instagram format is best for a campaign?

That depends on the goal. For reach beyond the followers, a Reel works well; for sales with a discount code, a Story series with a link sticker. Many campaigns combine both.

What is a Collab post on Instagram?

A Collab post appears on the creator's profile and the brand's profile at the same time. Reactions are counted together, and the brand becomes visible to the creator's community. Both accounts must accept the collaboration in the app.

What are Partnership Ads?

Partnership Ads are Meta ads delivered under the name of a creator and a brand. The creator grants permission, and the brand controls audience and budget. For this, the brand needs usage rights for advertising, which are usually paid for separately.

Is the follower count enough to choose an Instagram creator?

No. More meaningful are the actual views of recent posts, the comments and the breakdown of followers by country and age. We also check whether a profile has bought followers before we propose a creator.

As a brand, do I have to monitor disclosure on Instagram?

Yes, because companies can be liable for competition law infringements by their agents. Paid posts need a clear label at the start, such as “Werbung” or “Anzeige”. We check this before every publication, but it does not replace legal advice.
